- How is John’s Gospel different from Matthew, Mark, and Luke in the way it introduces Jesus and his ministry? Why do you think it is important for John to focus on this beginning and not the beginning of Jesus’ earthly life?
- What similarities are there between verses 1-5, and Genesis 1:1-3? What is John’s purpose of linking these passages?
