- Describe Paul’s mood or frame of mind when he wrote this. What caused this attitude and does it seem justified?
- Paul calls himself an apostle, what can you learn from vs. 1-9, what an apostle is or does.
- Paul offers an outline of the gospel in the early verses, no outline can be complete, but does this one seem complete to you?
- According to vs. 6-7, any change to the gospel makes it null and void, why?
- How do people add to the gospel today in ways that diminish it’s power?
- What is Paul’s attitude towards those that distort the gospel? How can we ensure that the gospel we believe is true?
- What kind of claims or assurances does Paul appear to be refuting in this account of his conversion and early Christian conversion?
- Paul’s account does not simply establish his authority as a teacher of the gospel. It also illustrates some aspects of what the gospel is. How does it do so?
- How does Paul indicate that Go’s grace was working in his life before his conversion? In what ways can you see how God worked in your life before your conversion?
