● Why is Canaan punished for his father’s wrongdoing? Discuss how our actions
can affect future generations. How does God’s declaration of Himself in Exodus
34:6-7 and the example of Rahab, the Canaanite, in Hebrews 11:31 encourage
us in this regard?
● How does Shem and Japheth’s covering of their father’s nakedness reflect God’s
covering of Adam and Eve’s nakedness in Genesis 3? Read I Peter 4:8 and
Galatians 6:1. What does this teach us about how we can minister to others in
their sin?

history of the Israelites and the Canaanites? Read Deuteronomy 7:1-9 and
