Sermon Questions
Reflect:
- Who is James speaking to in verses 13-17? What does their priority seem to be?
- How should these verses affect both how we plan, and what we plan?
- Who is James speaking to in James 5:1-6? What does he warn them about?
Respond:
- How can you consciously take account of who you are and who God is in your planning? Are there ways in which your plans don’t really reflect God’s will? What needs to change?
Pray:
- Put Proverbs 30:8-9 into your own words and make it a prayer.
- Praise God for all that you have because of your faith in “our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.” (2:1)
